A native of Puerto Rico, Dr. Solomon H. Chaim is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in surgery of the foot and ankle.

Dr. Chaim’s training began at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he obtained an undergraduate degree in bacteriology. Following this he went on to obtain his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. After completing his orthopedic surgery residency, Dr. Chaim went on to complete fellowships in orthopedic traumatology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and foot and ankle surgery at the Center for Orthopedic Care in Cincinnati, Ohio.

In his current practice, Dr. Chaim enjoys providing treatment for patients with orthopedic conditions focusing on injuries and ailments of the foot and ankle as well as those involving fracture care and posttraumatic reconstruction. He provides a broad scope of care for conditions ranging from bunions to complications of diabetes and arthritis, as well as complex fractures and ligamentous/tendinous injuries requiring surgical intervention.

Dr. Chaim is one of the members of the Texas Foot and Ankle Center at Plano Orthopedic. (www.texasfootandankle.com) He is on medical staff at several area hospitals, including Baylor Medical Center of Plano, Baylor Medical Center of Frisco, Medical Center of Plano, Surgery Center of Plano and Presbyterian Hospital of Plano.
