Podiatry

The physicians at the Texas Foot & Ankle Center have an additional area of specialty in foot and ankle care. A podiatrist is a health professional who attends a four-year college of podiatry school to learn about the examination, diagnosis and treatment of foot conditions.  Some podiatrists go on to complete a course of additional training for one or more years after podiatry school.  Unlike orthopedic surgeons, however, podiatrists are not able to evaluate patients in the emergency room or admit them to the hospital.

Our podiatrist works closely with our physicians to improve the overall health and well-being of our patients by focusing on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of conditions associated with the foot and ankle.

Common conditions and treatments provided by our podiatrist include:

  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Stress Fractures
  • Bunions
  • Heel Pain/Spurs
  • Treatment of Diabetic Foot
  • Ingrown Nails
  • Hammertoe
  • Warts
  • Callus
  • Morton's Neuroma
  • Custom Orthotics
  • Gait Analysis-computerized treadmill analysis with foot sensors (F-Scan)
  • Non-surgical treatment of the Foot and Ankle
