Micro Endoscopic Discectomy

Micro endoscopic discectomy in Plano, Frisco, McKinney and AllenWhat is it?

Micro endoscopic discectomy is a minimally-invasive procedure used to remove a herniated disc material that is pressing on the nerve root or spinal cord. This procedure uses a special microscope to view the disc and nerves and is performed through a tubular device. Micro endoscopic discectomy is an outpatient procedure which allows the patient to leave the hospital the same day and though it may take weeks or months for the nerve root to heal completely most patients feel immediate relief from the pain. Importantly noted a micro endoscopic discectomy does not change the mechanical structure of the patient’s lower spine.
