Joshua Matthews ATC, PA-C

Joshua Matthews ATC, PA-CBorn and raised in Fort Worth, Joshua Matthews has dedicated his career to sports medicine and patient care. After earning a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Texas Wesleyan University in 2016, he completed a Master of Science in Exercise Science at the University of Central Arkansas in 2018. His early career included supporting the University of North Texas Club hockey team and returning to his undergraduate alma mater to serve as an instructor for athletic training and exercise science courses.

Joshua transitioned into clinical practice after graduating from the University of North Texas Health Science Center PA program in 2024. His professional background includes providing care for the North Richland Hills Brahmas hockey team and supporting the 2025 NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships. Joshua joined Dr. Ringenberg’s team in February 2026, where he assists in both clinical and surgical settings. When he isn’t working with athletes or patients at POSMC, he enjoys exercising, discovering local eateries, and relaxing with his friends and family.
