Facet Joint Injections
What is it?
Facet Joint Injections: Facet joints are small joints at each segment of the spine that provide stability and help guide motion. The facet joints can become painful due to a back injury, arthritis of the spine, or a mechanical stress to the back. Facet joint injections involves injecting a small amount of local anesthetic (numbing agent) and/or steroid medication to essentially block the pain. The injection is intended to help a patient better tolerate his/her physical therapy to help rehabilitate their injury or back condition. A facet joint injection/block can often be used for both therapeutic and diagnostic reasons.
If you are experiencing back pain, neck pain, weakness of the neck, stiffness of the neck or have a spine injury, give us a call 972-250-5700 or make an appointment now.
