Partial Knee Replacement (Using Oxford Implant)
What is it?
Partial Knee Replacement (Using Oxford Implant) is unlike the total knee replacement surgery, this less invasive procedure replaces only the damaged or arthritic parts of the knee, but overall goal is still the same to reduce pain and restore function. The OXFORD unicompartmental knee replacement is an option for a small percentage of patients with osteoarthritis that is limited to one part of the knee joint. It also uses a metal and plastic implant designed to potentially last longer and wear down less easily than traditional implants.
